Getting Started
1. Install Rundown
Rundown is coming soon to the Google Play Store for Android TV, Google TV, and Android mobile devices.
2. Connect Your Server
Choose Plex or Jellyfin and connect to your server. Plex uses secure PIN-based auth, while Jellyfin uses username/password.
3. Select Your Libraries
Choose which libraries you want to include. You can select movies, TV shows, or both.
4. Generate Channels
Let Rundown auto-generate channels by network or genre, or create custom channels yourself. Schedules are built automatically.
5. Start Watching
That's it! Your personal channels are now live. Open the EPG to see what's playing and browse the schedule.

What devices does Rundown support? ▼
Rundown is available for Android TV, Google TV, and Android mobile devices. It's optimized for the big screen but works great on phones and tablets too.
Which media servers are supported? ▼
Rundown supports both Plex and Jellyfin. You don't need a Plex Pass—any free Plex account works. For Jellyfin, self-signed SSL certificates are supported.
Does Rundown work with remote access? ▼
Yes! Rundown works with both local and remote connections. As long as your server is accessible, Rundown can stream from it.
How does scheduling work? ▼
Rundown's scheduler automatically fills your 24/7 channels with content. It balances movies and episodes based on your configured ratios, plays sequential episodes together in mini-marathons, and rotates through your entire library so nothing gets stale.
Can I skip content I don't want to watch? ▼
Absolutely. While the goal is lean-back viewing, you can always skip to the next scheduled item if the current program isn't for you.
Is my account secure? ▼
Yes. Plex uses PIN-based authentication so we never see your password. All server tokens are encrypted with AES256 using Android Keystore and stored securely on your device.
Does Rundown cost anything? ▼
Rundown is free to download. Some premium features may require an in-app purchase or subscription in the future, but the core experience is free.
